Older Homes

Plaster, trim and hardwood take longer than they look.

Older Plymouth houses hold dust in the places newer ones do not have: plaster cornices, deep window casings, stair spindles, radiator covers and built-in shelving. A standard clean handles them, but only if they are written down.

They are. That is also why a first visit in an older home is usually a deep clean, with standard visits holding it from there.

  • Built-ins, spindles and sills on the written checklist.
  • Original floors damp-mopped with a pH-neutral product.
  • Older tile and grout maintained on every visit, restored on a deep clean.
  • Fixed price in writing before anything is booked.

Outside these? Pick “another city” on the quote quiz anyway — you will get a straight yes or no the same day, not a runaround.

The township is a different job

Plymouth Township homes are mostly newer and larger: two-storey foyers, open kitchens, more bathrooms and more glass. Less detail work, more surface. The quote reflects that, which is why it comes from bedrooms, bathrooms and condition rather than a flat rate.

Nothing about the terms changes between the city and the township: same checklist, same guarantee, no travel charge.

Winters and the mudroom

From November to March salt and slush come in on every boot. Entry floors, the mudroom and the first stretch of hallway get the most attention on a winter visit, and they are on the checklist every time.

Moving in or out

Move in / move out cleans are empty-home detail: inside every cupboard, drawer and closet, wall scuffs taken back, and a photographed deposit-back checklist at the end. Typically five to seven hours.

Book it for after the movers have gone. Cleaning around boxes costs you exactly the parts that get inspected.

Getting a price

Four questions on the quote page. The price comes back in writing within one business hour, Monday to Saturday, and it is the price you pay.
